RTGI Edward Apil and Ruel Ipulan are conducting quarterly PM of RS battery. During their PM routi
3-Apr in the port cap and RS9 bank 1 battery 19 have leak also in the port cap. Incident was already repo
Samadan and HEO Site Lead Eden Robles. HEO Site Engineer on duty coordinated the findings to
about battery leaks to ELTEK.
RJ Rosete (Eltek) inspected the batteries with leak and observed that three batteries were leaking s

Root Cause Analysis


Acid leak may be due to failure of seals on the battery terminals.
Normal heat build up and generation of gas inside the batteries due to charging/discharging cycle results in pressu
