I think the biggest economy problems in Colombia in this moment are corruption

and several disinterest for some economic sectors, even so you can see in the
year 2018 slowed down inflation in the country comparing to 2017 (2017 - 4.66%
inflation slowed last month and has remained above the target for more than
two years; in January 2018 unemployment was 11.8 percent, while inflation
was 3.68 percent) (Portafolio, 2017)

Must be taken into account in some departments of the country they have suffer
economic problems by emigration of the Venezuelan population in the borders to
country. The most affected department is Cúcuta with a unemployment rate of 16,5
per cent and an inflation of 2,32 per cent (18,82%).

(Tiempo, 2018)
Cartagena is the least affected department in the country with a total index of
9,93% (a half Cúcuta), so unemployment are below the national average (7,4 per
cent) and inflation is 2,53 per cent (El Tiempo, 2018)

The expectation of the bank of the republic is that inflation is between 2% and 4%
annually but it is foresee that in the next few years it will not rise more than 3%. In
addition, it considers that phenomena such as trucking and El Niño have been
decreasing their effect on food prices.

In conclusion until a balance is not carried in economic sectors that move in

Colombia there will be a stable and sustainable economy. We are in the process of
this but there must be improvements.
