I am a second year student at the Shri Ram College of Commerce working towards my bachelor’s

degree in Commerce. Commerce, as a field of study, delves into concepts applicable across sectors
with an aim to make the students industry ready and helps shape the commercial critical reasoning
power of an individual.

JSW believes in building India, idea by idea, action by action. I want to be a part of this endeavour,
and grow with that.

JSW is steadfast in creating a milieu to foster novel and innovative ideas. This SIP would be an apt
place for a beginner like me to nurture my skills in an intellectually stimulating environment, amidst
a pool of fantastic minds. The diversity and the truly global nature of the company would not only
give me an opportunity to enhance my knowledge, but also help me develop as a person. Examining
the dynamics of a global conglomerate from such close quarters would truly be an enriching
experience. Working under the specific department will help me to harbour in-depth knowledge of
current economic trends and company strategies and apply the same to make quick and critical
decisions. The prospect of being able to use my skills and understanding through the projects that
might help the company solve diverse problems excites me as a person, eager to make an impact in
the corporate world.

All through my school and college days, I have attempted to excel in all activities that I have
undertaken and have been fortunate enough to get opportunities which have put me outside my
comfort zone. My strong academic background since high school is an authentication of my
determination, focus and hard work. Striving to achieve consistency in academics has helped me to
enhance values of sincerity and persistence. Being a person who has constantly moved from one
place to another, I have developed respect and empathy for all the kinds of people I meet. Both in
school and college, I have held various positions of responsibility, which have helped in developing
my communication and leadership skills and develop the traits of integrity, responsibility, service
and stewardship. My research based internship with NDTV, was a valuable experience that taught
me efficient assimilation of information, absorption of parts relevant to my study and effective
representation of the output and strengthened my ability to persevere for the bigger goal. Even
when an activity hasn’t been my forte, for instance, my acting stint in a television series, I have
always taken it up as a challenge and performed the same with the best of my abilities.

I have always persevered to exercise utmost fineness in the quality of work I have performed so far,
with my values deeply embedded within me. This, in addition to my passion and ambition, backed by
the skills I have worked to hone give me the confidence that given the opportunity, I can not only
meet expectations as a JSW Intern, but well exceed them.
