Sherri Bartels, Director, Product Strategy
Oracle

Hi, I’m Sherri Bartels and I lead product strategy for Oracle’s Workforce Management Cloud
applications. I’m excited to share with you some of the highlights coming in our Cloud Workforce
Management applications.

Let’s take a look at the new capabilities that will provide your users with a more enjoyable,
smarter, and supportive experience.

Several new features we’ve delivered help make Workforce Management more enjoyable for
your users. Let’s take a look.

With each new release you’ll find more capabilities delivered in our new responsive UI. These
redesigned pages are easy to use on any device, with a modern look and conversational
language.
Line managers can view schedules of either their direct reports or the whole organization
including public holidays, absences, employment schedules, and published schedules.

The manager time card Review, Correct, and Approve flows have been delivered in the
responsive UI along with the ability to view overtime period, reference date information, and

much more in the time card itself.

Workforce Management systems need to automate processes and catch errors proactively so
users have less work to do.

Now, you can validate the web clock device time with network time while workers are clocking
with an allowable time disparity.

If the device time doesn’t match the network time, then network time is used on the time event
and the device time is saved as additional information.

Administrators can now run diagnostics on time cards, time events, and layout sets to identify
issues due to invalid assignments, mismatched absence data, multiple statuses, version
statuses, or transfer failures.
You can automate correction handling or perform manual corrections.

Protect the identity of leave donation recipients in your organization by assigning an alias to
them. Employees intending to donate some of their accrued leave balance can view and select
the alias instead of the actual name of the donation recipient. You can also view a report about
Leave Contributions.

We’ve also delivered several new capabilities that support you in enabling some of your most

complex business needs.

Organizations who need to pay people regardless of time card approval status have a better
way to do so. Now, users can process time cards that are in Unapproved status while retaining
that status for later follow-up with time card approvers.

You can enable managers to partially fix a time card with a status of Incomplete or In Error. In
addition, workers can edit any time attribute reported or missed on clock devices – for example,
if they need to change a work location or cost center.
You can also streamline management of open-ended absences. When you enter an open-ended
absence, entitlements are calculated for 365 calendar days for all qualified entitlements.
You can now extend the calculation in 90 calendar day intervals until an end date is entered for
the absence.

As you can see, we have delivered some really great capabilities that make Oracle’s Workforce
Management solutions more enjoyable, smarter, and supportive for your organization and its
users. I’ve only mentioned a few of the highlights, so please be sure to check out the release
readiness materials on Cloud Customer Connect to see what else is new.
