“RESOLUTION APPROVING THE THREE YEARS BARANGAY COMPREHENSIVE JUVENILE JUSTICE

INTERVENTION PROGRAM 2019-2021”

WHEREAS, the State recognizes the vital role of children and youth in nation building and shall
promote and protect their physical, moral spiritual, intellectual, and social well-being;

WHEREAS, RA#9344 otherwise known as “Juvenile Justice and Welfare Act of 2006” which cover
the different stages involving children at risk and children in conflict with the law from prevention to
rehabilitation and reintegration;

WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 18 of RA# 9344 “ A comprehensive juvenile intervention program

covering atleast 3 year period shall be instituted in LGUs from the barangay to the provincial level;

WHEREAS, the Barangay Council for the Protection of Children (BCPC) has initiated the formulation
of the three years Barangay Comprehensive Juvenile Intervention Program and identified various programs
in delinquency prevention up to the rehabilitation and reintegration of child at risk and child in conflict with
law;

NOW THEREFORE, RESOLVED AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Barangay

approving the three byears Barangay Comprehensive Juvenile Justice Intervention Program (BCJJIP)
2019-2021.

RESOLVED FURTHER, that copy of this Resolution with the BCJIP be furnished to the Office of the
MSWD, MPDC, DILG, and other concerned government agencies for their information and appropriate
recommendation on this matter.
