WATER CONSERVATION

I. INTRODUCTION

Water is the basis of lives living on earth. But without a proper condition of
water, there must be a bad effect on all types of lives as well. As it becoming worse
because of the pollution and the climate change, water conservation is the perfect
way to improve the quality of water as well as to balance the current and future water
needs. To get through the water conservation, we should know the important, the
goal and how we can conserve the water.

Water conservation means using our water wisely and caring for it properly.
Since each of us depends on water for life, it is our responsibility to learn more about
water conservation and how we can help keep our water pure and safe for
generations to come. Since we all enjoy the benefits of having pure, clean water, we
must help conserve water so that we may continue to enjoy these benefits.

II. SCHOOL WAYS TO CONSERVE WATER

1. To reduce water use in the school, consider replacing old equipment.


Detect and repair leaks and leaky toilets at school so that wastage of
water will get reduce.
2. Put signs near the basins to remind students to turn off taps as soon as
they wash their hands
3. Always use broom to clean walkways, and entrances rather than hosing
off these areas
4. Harvest and recycle rainwater. Set up a water collection system to gather
rain for watering plants and other non-potable uses.
5. Avoid flushing the toilet unnecessary. Dispose of tissues, and other
similar waste in the dustbins rather than the toilet
6. Encourage students to use refillable water bottle and educate them pour
leftover water onto the garden
7. Watering of plants during the cool part of the day, early morning or late
afternoon to minimize evaporation
8. Use glass or tumbler when brushing teeth.
