Kutkot

In Oriental Mindoro the Hanunuo Mangyan was trying to keep alive the ritual
which they perform for the dead because of their belief that the soul of the dead with
their prim. The ritual will do after six months or one year duration they will recover the
body it will take a sacred cave.

It’s been more than a year since Ailyn’s lolo Juan passed away and his grandfather has
a dying wish for his family he want to perform the traditional ritual which they perform to
the dead called “pangutkutan”, and Ailyn needed to prepare for three months and p10,000.
According to Mangyans ‘It is sacred for them the soul of the dead, it is sacred for them
the soul of the dead in fact they say that when there is a celebration for the soul of the
dead, it is more important than marriage and baptism because they believe that if they
don’t do the pangutkutan there is many bad luck will come to their life.

No one is exempted from this task, young and old everyone must help. While I’m
watching the video I realized how perfect Kara David is, she can do the work that needs
to be done unlike other reporters who usually cares more about how they look. Because
in this kind of job you have to be ready for what will come in your way, you have to
care about the information and knowledge that you can give to your audience.

It was also nice to see how new generations of Mangyans still see the need to
practice the traditions that they’re ancestors has given to them. Sometimes these
documentaries open our eyes in a world that there are variety cultures and traditions that
was passed on generations after generations , this makes me realize that the sense of
respect is that we should always have when meeting and talking to other persons of
life. And even we learn new ideas we have to keep our own tradition and we must
preserved it.

The tradition should not be broken into the limestone at the same time over time, as the time
passes the more we must appreciate and maintain it. Because it makes our Filipinos the
tradition that our ancestors still inherit from us. What if while the time passes our ancestral
traditions, nothing left of us, we will become aliens for our own. We must maintain, appreciate
and further develop our values.

You can be a Hero

Each one of us has a hidden spell that is willing to help people who need it. But in today's times

of extreme poverty some people who are willing to help others. People who are willing to help

with unpredictable success, are willing to help even if they are tired or tired. That will help his

fellow man, the environment and even to the animals, that's no trouble to lose her. Assistance is

not measurable in wealth. The person who is willing to help each other always responds to the

problem that comes into his life even if he is judged by people around him. He just saw that he

was smiling as if he no matter how high you are in your life if you do not know how to help your

neighbor you

So let's always remember that the real happiness is we cannot get to any material things even

poor or rich if there is a human or an animal that is in need of help we should always be willing

to help and without waiting for a replacement.
