I. Course No.: IT 202

II. Course Title: Operating System Application Credits: 3 units

III. Course Description:

This course basically an orientation on computers. It will be composed of four major parts: Fundamental
Computer Concepts, MS Windows, MS Office Application and the Internet.

Pre-requisite: IT 105 – Computer Organization

IV. Course Objectives:

At the end of the course the students are expected to:

1. understand the basic computer concepts


2. have a basic understanding of how a computer works.
3. learn how to use the MS office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, FrontPage)
4. explore the internet and learn how to develop a webpage

V. Course Requirements:

The course methodology will include lecture, class discussion, quizzes, exams, laboratory exercises and a
project about web-page design.
