Reaction Paper on the Tour on Bangko Sentral ng Plipinas

and COMELEC Office

The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas is not just known as the bank of all banks here in the
Philippines but also known as the last resort of banks. BSP always welcome students like
us to visit their compound to know more about them and how they function in circulating
currencies in the economy. BSP presented their main goals, and the tree pillars of BSP
which are the (1) price stability, (2) financial stability and (3) efficient payments and
settlement system. They also conducted a short but informative presentation about the
history of BSP, the process on how the currency is made and the various money
collections. The visit enabled us, students, to truly appreciate the history of Philippine
currency. I learned a lot and I can really consider it useful because it’s important that you
know how money begins and the history and evolution of money because other people
didn’t know that and from my experience on the tour, I can share what I learned and
discovered from the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas.

After the short visit to BSP, we went to the office of Provincial COMELEC. The
Commission on Elections by virtue of the power vested in it by the Constitution, the
Omnibus Election Code and other election laws, resolved to promulgate as it hereby
promulgates, the following rules and regulations to enforce the prohibited acts of the
Omnibus Election Code and RA No 7166 in connection with national and local elections.
It is the policy of the Commission on Elections (Commission) to prohibit during the election
period the bearing, carrying and transporting of firearms or deadly weapons by any
person, and not to allow the employment of security personnel or bodyguards.

It was a great experience because the company gave us more idea. It is also a great
opportuniy to bond with my classmates, a chance to unwind and forget the problems for
a while. The tour was a success, short yet meaningful. We were not only learned new
things but we were also able to bond with our classmates and enjoy. I had fun and learned
a lot at the same time. It was a GREAT EXPERIENCE!
