NARRATIVE AND PICTORALS REPORTS ON FIRE DRILL

Fire is the result of a Chemical reaction, called combustion. At a certain point in the
combustion reaction, called the ignition point, flames are produced. When an unwanted fire
happen. In particularly establishment or even at home. This may destroy many lives and
properties. Which is why, since Month of March is recognized as “FIRE PREVENTION
MONTH CELEBRATION” the Department of Education sent an order to conduct a fire drill
in every school in order to inform each learner on how to save the lives and be free any
damages whenever there is a conflagration.

In connection with this, The Tibongbong Elementary School conducts a Fire Drill, March 22,
2019 at 8:30 am in the morning. Before the conduct of the fire drill, Mr. Harry C. Autida
principal of our school. He instructed all the learners and the teachers of what are going to
do incase fire occurs.
During the morning break, a siren sound blurted for a one minute and it motivated everyone
to be alert and awake. They were grouped according to their respective grade levels, In
addition, all the adviser counted their learners to make sure that they are safe.

We have drills to teach us what to do if there is an emergency. We practice staying safe at


school and at home. We have fire alarms to make wise if there is a fire or a drill. During a
fire drill, we practice how to go outside safety at school; we line and go outside calmly with
a teacher or an adult. We walk quietly. Remember: We have fire drills to practice safe ways
to get out of a school or house if there is a fire.

Action on discover a Fire


1. Shout Fire and sound the Alarm
2. Remove anyone in immediate danger
3. SHUT all rooms/doors nearby
4. Attempt to extinguish the fire if it is safe to do so.
5. Exit the building either through the front door, the backdoor or the upstairs fire

Earthquake is one of the famous disasters that caused people died or injured. It cannot be
detected when and where it would be happened to anyone. This is mostly happened in
places where people are hanging around and working. Earthquake is understood by being a
natural phenomenon caused by the constant movements of the earth’s crustal plates and
due to climate change too.

In line with campaign of the Department of Education, the Tibongbong Elementary School
conducted the simultaneous school base earthquake drill on August 15, 2018at 2:00 p.m. in
the afternoon for earthquake drills. Mr. Harry C. Autida, the school principal, led the activity
with the teachers and their respected classes. The drill was carried out simultaneously and
smoothly. All grades levels occupied the designated area for them based on the school
evacuation plan.
On the day of the drill, everybody was busy preparing their assignments on their respective
area. However, the students/pupils were also doing their daily routine without the
knowledge of the event. When the bell sounded in an unusual tone, everyone was alarmed
by those who are responsible in keeping the evacuate the classroom after 60 seconds
together with the teacher/adviser who are present inside the room to step out properly
after the shake stops. These were done through proper movement with free-hustle to avoid
panic or stamped during the event and by the use of the Duck Drop, Covering and Holding,
Watching out for falling objects.

Before the actual drills, Mr. Harry C. Autida a School Principal undertook an orientation
before going the activity. She disseminated the information about the occurrence of
earthquake as well as the needs to carry out a drill to enhance the pupils’ awareness on the
safety measures before, during and after.
