Should consist of two major sections:

1. Admin panel
2. User interface

1. Admin Panel:
Should give administrator features like creating moderators and ads (managing & creating both)
etc. :
A. Moderators: should be able to create ads only, which should be subject to administrator
approval. Ads thus created should NOT have ‘apply’ button unlike ads created by users directly.
B. Ads: ads created by administrator should not need approval per Se , and shall be posted (and
shared across email IDs, linkedin & fb) directly.
Ads posted by moderators and users shall show up in pending ads section to be reviewed by
administrator before approving/deleting the same.
C. Blacklist: Admin should be able to add, delete and edit email IDS. any email ID added in the list by
admin should never be able to post on jehlum as long it stays in the blacklist.
D. Categories: of yellow pages and ads should be defined and admin should be able to add/delete
categories as well.
E. RSS feeds: admin should be able to add RSS feeds link/URL to add more newspapers in news
section for future reference.

2. User interface:
Is the main web interface and should have features like;
A) Post Ad: to create an ad (job and classifieds both type) with required fields. An otp should be
generated for users while submitting an ad (sent to email mentioned).
A simple captcha should also be in the form. Once posted, user (not moderator) should see
a confirmation message and an email should be sent to their mentioned email once posted and
once again when approved.
Users should be able to apply (on website) to jobs posted by users only and should be
shared on their registered social media accounts Like ‘this user applied for this job on
jehlum’.

B) Login/register: option for users to login/register to manage their posted ads. User
registration need to have options like register with email, fb, linked and Google. Users register
with social media accounts should have a startup page with checkbox option to choose from
categories they need to receive notifications about and option to like our relevant social media
handle which must be checked by default. Users registering with email ID shall be given
checkbox option receive email notifications of categories he has checked.
C) Floating icon for help/feedback (displaying ‘Didn’t find what you're looking for? want to
provide feedback? Want to see a new service on jehlum? Let us know’ message) and should lead
to contact us form once clicked .
D) Search option to search jehlum website for all relevant content.
E) A tawk.to chat integrated icon
F) A sidebar set of icons to like our social media handles and register to our email notifications
(if users haven't registered with social media)

Apart from these functions, website has mainly 2 types of pages/sections:

1. Static: content will be provided (though you need to review it only). static sections/pages
contain; Home( dashboard link), about us, terms and conditions, privacy policy, contact us &
FAQs. (open to suggestions as well)
2. Dynamic: contains following vital sections/pages:
 A) Dashboard: has mainly 3 sections viz. One to display top 20 stories from ads section,
second to display top 20 stories from notifications section and third to display top 20 stories
from news section. ( All stories must be displayed in chronological order).
B) Browse Ads: Should display all ads (classifieds and jobs) with filtering options.
C) News: Should display news from multiple newspapers (via rss feeds preferably).
D) Notifications: should display notifications fetched from 30 websites ( like jkssb, KU etc )
in chronological order. List of websites shall be provided.
E) Yellow pages: list of businesses (services/products) in j&k with simple description of
nature of business and contact./address details in brief. Registered users as well as admin should
be able to add entries. Categories should be defined and admin should be able to add/delete a
category as well.
Users should be able to rate/review entries and should be shared on their registered social
media accounts. Businesses/lists should be tag-able in blogs .
F) Blog: users can post a blog and link of same should be posted on their social media
account. Other users should be able to share & comment on the same. Link to share the same
across different social media platforms shall be there as well. (simple features only)

Miscellaneous features:
1) Visitors should be prompted to allow receive notifications from jehlum website.( registered users
to receive notifications they have subscribed to only while non-registered should receive all
notifications)
2) Users visiting website on mobile browsers should get a prompt to open website in mobile app. (to
be implemented once mobile app is ready)
3) Complete APIs should be provided for future integration into various apps/platforms.
4) Platform must be implemented such that more modules/sections can be added in future to the
website.
