and Employment limits

Skilled Workers Abroad

Abstract
The income here in the Philippines is not enough to fulfill their needs. I am not agree to
limit the deployment of skilled works abroad because there are Filipinos who want to work to
other countries because they want a higher income. Also, the growth of our economy is based
on OFW so if DOLE will limit it the development of our country will become slow.
Introduction
Overseas Filipino Workers or OFW have great contribution in the development of our
economy because of the billions of dollars they send in our country that is why they considered
as "Modern Heroes". I am not strongly agree because there a lot of Filipinos wanting to work
abroad and they will not given a chance to have a better life. I understand the DOLE in pursuing
this plan but they need to look after what is for good in every Filipino employees. I will agree
with this if DOLE will make an order that increases the wages of every skilled workers especially
construction workers because they have the most difficult job, being a construction worker and
they deserve a high salary. Most of us don't see them suffering from the heat, tiredness etc. We
need to thank them in making the place where your feet is located right now because if there
are no construction workers there no buildings at all.
Body
Here in our country the income is not enough to fulfill their needs because the price of basic
commodities continuously change that is why they choose to go abroad to have higher income
and to have a better life. But this dream will be interrupted, because according to recently news
last March 11, 2019 that Department of Labor and Employment will limit the deployment of
skilled workers abroad due to demand of it in our country. An order from Labor chief Silvestro
Bello that agencies should not entertain new applicants especially skilled workers in
construction field. Engineers, electricians welders and other skilled workers who have not yet
applied to work overseas will be affected. As Bello clarification, those who have already
submitted their applications may be allowed to proceed. DOLE do this because they want to
meet the demand of skilled workers especially construction workers for the Build Build Build
Program of Duterte Administration.

Conclusion
DOLE must think first the Filipino employees before they limit the deployment of skilled
workers abroad. They taking a risk to go from far places to have a better life and a better future
for their child/chrildren. Also, we must to thank them in forgetting all the sadness that they will
be far from their families to give them a beautiful life and future.
