CHAPTER 10 POLYGONS

1. A polygon is a completely enclosed plane shape whose sides are formed from
3 or more straight lines.

2. Polygons are named by the number of sides they have.

3. The line of symmetry is a line that divides a shape into equal halves. One half
fits exactly onto the other half.

4. Triangles are polygons with three sides. Triangles are named according to
their sides or their angles ( or both ).

5. Sum of angles of a triangle = 180˚.

a + b + c = 180˚

6. A quadrilateral is a polygon which has four sides.

7. The sum of the angles of a quadrilateral is 360˚.
