Introduction;

Hospitality is a service industry that entails event planning, cruise line, lodging, and traveling

among many others. The persuaders season 23, episode 3, presents the marketing and

advertising of their products in order to convince their customers to buy their goods and services.

Hospitality industry has been advertised a lot in this episode, through the identification of a focus

group. Song Airline launches a new airline by advertising through a hit party. At 5 Minutes, 42

seconds, of the movie episode, there is a hit party at down town New York City that was an

opening ceremony and marketing for a new airline. The airline is named Song, and in the urge of

advertising and marketing the airline, the song team, created a detailed profile of Cary. In the

episodes we are able to see, how big companies are utilizing the technology in advertisements.

This paper aims at identifying the various concepts that have been used in the persuaders’ movie,

while marketing the hospitality industry.

Steve recommends that the advertisement should be done in a way that is emotional. Sweet

images and informal pictures used in American films can be used in the advertisement of the

airline ( 8min 41s). Irrespective of the campaign results, in terms of conveying the messages,

what is more important is sales increment in the sector. Ads have been used in the advertisement

of the airlines. Most of the corporations are in the urge of increasing their incomes, and

therefore, the use of songs in advertisements provides more of an entertainment and not fully

fulfills the role of advertisement which is necessarily makes you want to buy.

In 1990s the culture of advertisement changed to what the product made, unlike the previous

Song airlines developed a unique mode of interviews and in most cases, the airline was teaching

their staff to be song. The brand experience of the advertising and marketing used by song

unleashed a great number of customers. When a commodity is losing its value, there is a lot of

cash use in promoting their advertisement. To enhance a commodity, for example, Starbucks

coffee, is branding.

According to Frank Rich, instead, of conducting a friends’ meeting in one of the generic coffee

shops, it is better to have the meeting at a hotel that you are trying to market their products. In

the process the Starbucks is advertised. Integration of entertainment and advertising improves the

sales of commodities in the market. There is always a mental connection of a product, there is a

connection that lies under the decisions that people make. There is a reason why people buy what

they buy and feel what they feel. Reptilian marketing is able to convince the brain and allow an

individual to buy a commodity. However, logical argument about a product cannot convince the

reptilian brain.

The movie highlights the various concepts that are used when enhancing marketing skills of an

airline, food products, and food industries. Merging the entertainment and advertisement is able

to increase the number of buyers buying a commodity or utilizing a service. Hospitality industry

continues to gain more fame, due to the ever increasing change in the advertisement sector.
