 ABSTRACT

The researchers aims to know the effects of good communication skills among
students. Communication skills is very important essential as ABM students here in
Jose Rizal University, because it is one of the key for them to gain their
confidence to cope up with the challenges of an ABM students.

According to Skills you need, being able to communicate effectively is the most
important of all life skills. It separate us with other specie in this world, although
there are some who can communicate, but the communication skills we have
as a person is more wider than to them, so we must improve it always as time
goes by, as we grow, we must be more good in communication skills.

Now, as a senior high school student, and a graduating student, they must know
how to communicate professionally, because sooner they will be one of them.

The researchers aims to investigate with the participation of Accountancy and

Business Management students of Jose Rizal University, they will determine if how
many students does imply the good communication skills, and to educate the
students of ABM about the importance of it especially in their field.

The researchers used questionnaires as an instrument to gather the data, the

researchers used likert scale.

The researchers worked in this study for three months.

According to Osorio, good communication skills gives a company a better

performance when the company always maintain it by monitoring each
employees if they do so. According to him, because they had a good
communication skills, the employees had good relationship because they tend
to be be productive, honest, open, feel safe and confident. It makes the
company a colourful environment for them. Good communication skills will result
also to them to have respect with their companions. It also results for the
employees to share ideas to improve the performance of the company. In short,
having a maintained good communication skills makes the company successful
in their specific field. (Osorio, 2013)

According to Doyle, “The ability to communicate effectively with superiors,

colleagues, and staff is essential, no matter what industry you work in.”.

According to her, it is one of the essentials to achieve success. Its necessary to

be a good listener for you to be a good communicator, to be good in non-
verbal for them to know if youre serious at a certain situation, good in clarifying
your words to avoid confusions, for them to understand you further, being
friendly builds up trust and honesty among your companions, you have your
confidence, youre mind is open to learn more, have empathy with your
companions for you to understand them, respect with other people for them to
respect you too, and youre open for feedbacks and improvement. (Doyle,
2018)

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM

GENERAL PROBLEM

What are the effects of good communication skills among Accountancy and
Business Management students?

SPECIFIC

1. What is the profile of the respondent based on the following

a) Age

b) Sex

2. How many students say that they have good communication skills? Why do
they say so?

3. How many students say that they don’t have good communication skills? Why
do they say so?

4. What are the ways to improve the communication skills of Accountancy and
Business Management students?

METHODOLOGY:

A. Participants of the study:

The target participants of this study is Accountancy and Business Management

students of Jose Rizal University only.

B. Instrument

The questionnaire will be the major instrument used in this study so that we are
secure despondence to certain questions. The questionnaire that was used in
this study was designed to obtain information on the effects of the
psychological factors being neglected /despoiled by others.

Open-minded questions will be use to give the respondents the opportunity to

give their responses and suggestions.

The questionnaire will prepare by the researcher was develop by reading

reference materials and related about the effects of different psychological
factors affecting their learning process.

C. Statistical Treatment

One-way ANOVA

Researchers used one-way ANOVA as treatment to the gathered data, for them
to extract the result. The researchers aim to know the effects of good
communication skills among Accountancy and Business Management students,
focusing to the effects of good communication skills only, that’s why they used
one-way ANOVA to come up with the result.

D. Data collection Procedure

Questionnaire

Researchers asked questions to know the age and sex of the students, and for
them to tell if they have good or bad communication skills.
