1. NATURE AND REASON FOR CORROSION MOD. 2826 (AA3 D1; O83 D1)
The corrosion is mainly located in the following areas: • The modification consists in spraying PR 1436GS on floor structure :
Rails, cross beams, frames, skin, stringer, crease beam under galley and

2. RECOMMENDATIONS
• Apply water repellent products according to JIC 122351 PRO 10000
periodically (as required) and keep the area clean.
• Embody SB as indicated in paragraph 4.
• For A/Cs operating in a severe environment reduce the interval of the
inspection tasks.
3. PRODUCTION CORRECTIVE ACTION
MOD. 2817 (AA1 D1; O81 D1,OU1 D1, 2, 3 partial, 4)
• The modification consists in spraying PR 1436GS on floor structure :
Rails, cross beams, frames, skin, stringer, crease beam under galley and

− To apply PR1436G at the seat track ends, located near the rear doors
and toilet area.

• Change the water repellent protection type from LPS3 to AV8.

− The marketing master (MM4001/MM4002 composite clip-nut) are
intended for use inside the pressurized section of the aircraft in place of
metal clip-nut to reduce the potential for corrosion with aluminum
structure:

− The clip-nut MM4001-3-1 and MM4001-3-2 can replace most of

original metallic clip-nut installed on ATR on concerned areas (galley
