Rules and Functions of Educational Technology in the 21st Century Education

Reflection

Technology is made to decrease time and maximize our productivity. This

rules became the central part of educational thinking and planning for the future. It is

about making sure that all students are prepared to succeed in a competitive world. In my

reflection, I agreed that becoming a 21st century teacher was very effective way to build

learnings on the conscious of the learners. For me, it was to make the teachers realize

that we are in the world with the rapid increasing of technology and the technology has a

greater help to minimize the teachers time consume. Yes it is true that the education

today is no longer about listening teachers and absorb information. In 21st century,

student should encourage to work and discover information, piece it together and

construct meanings. But with the high number of advantages of 21 st century rules of

education, there are plenty of disadvantage of it. Not all communities are civilize and have

an advance technology to use. Furthermore, I also favor to old method of teaching which

where I grow and committed to be a degree holder because we are living to absorb what

is into our environment. By absorption, we learn how to resist, we learn to aware and from

by experience of past, we learn to evolve and used what we consumed for the future. In

addition, the teacher centered strategy was the best method to use in the rural areas

where the technology is unknown. We cannot bring the functional 21st century teaching

method to the areas where the electricity is also unknown. But, we can teach them on a

process where also 21st century is related.
