Background:
- Multiple Leap 1A engines have experienced starting issues when
0
operating in high OAT(>30 C )
0
- All engines had greater than 53 C EGT hot day margin deterioration.
- All events resulted in a Hot Start or Eng Stall ECAM Warnings during
Automatic Eng Start.

Description:
As and when Engineering informs cockpit crew about deterioration of Both
0
engines (engines with >53 C EGT hot day margin deterioration) and aircraft
0
is operating in OAT>30 C, CFM recommends the following procedure:
- Perform Eng Manual Start, extend dry motoring between 90 sec. to
120 sec. prior to Eng Master Switch ‘ON’
- Cross-bleed start the second engine as per FCOM. Adjust thrust of
supplying engine to obtain 38 PSI engine bleed pressure during the
start sequence. (Instead of 25 psi minimum value as per FCOM)

- Cross-bleed start the second engine as per FCOM. Adjust thrust of
engine to obtain 38 PSI engine bleed pressure during the start
sequence. (Instead of 25 psi minimum value as per FCOM)

This is for strict compliance by all A320 family pilots.
