Biometric client package installation

process
The following contents will describe the Procedure
to install and test the InnaITAPI package:

Software Requirements

Uninstall Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 if existing

Uninstall the existing versions of Biometric Installations

Package Installation

Test the Scanner

Uninstall Microsoft Visual C++
2015 if existing
Start → Run → Type
“appwiz.cpl” → Click ‘OK’
Check whether “Microsoft
Visual C++ 2015
Redistributable (x86) –
14.0.XX” still existing in Add or
Remove Programs. If exists,
Please Uninstall as shown
below.
Click ‘Uninstall’ button
Uninstall the existing versions
of Biometric Installations
Add or remove programs →
Select ‘InnaITAPI’
Click ‘Uninstall/Change’
Once uninstall process is complete, click
‘Close’ button
Package installation
• Please download the InnaITAPI package from the
following path http://www.ysraarogyasri.ap.gov.in/
→ Spotlight scrolling content → New Biometric
Client Software for re-enrollment & authentication
(click here for download)
• After successful download, extract (unzip) the zip
folder contents
• you will see the following icon on your
desktop/downloads.
• Connect the PB-100 device before continuing with
installation process.
• Right click on the “InnaITAPI” icon
→ Click on “Run as Administrator”,
• Microsoft Visual C++ 2015
Redistributable installation
screen is displayed.
Review ‘Microsoft Software
License Terms’ and Select ‘I
agree to the licence terms
and conditions’ check box
Click ‘Install’ button.
Installation process starts and the
‘Setup progress screen’ is displayed
Once the installation is successful,
you will see the ‘Setup Successful’
screen. Please click ‘Close’ to
continue.
Validity sensors setup process
starts.
If there is an earlier
installation of certificate you
will see the following screen.
Click ‘YES’ to delete the
Previous Precision- CA
Certificate. If there is no
certificate the installation will
skip to next screen.
Click ‘Yes’ to install the
Precision – CA Certificate
You will see the following
screen if the installation is
complete. Please click ‘Close’.
After successful installation
and configuration of validity
sensors, you will see the
following screen. Please click
‘Yes’ to restart now or ‘No’ if
you plan to manually restart
later. You must restart your
system for the configuration
changes to take effect.
Test the Scanner
The following procedure will describe to check whether the scanner
is working correctly:
1. Make sure that the fingerprint scanner is connected to the
system
2. Move to the Installation folder. (Default installation folder will
be C:\Program Files (x86)\Precision Biometric\InnaITAPI).
3. Locate PrecisionScannerTest.html
4. Open PrecisionScannerTest.html with Firefox or Chrome.
Click ‘Scanner Info’ button
You will see the ‘Scanner connected’
pop-up screen.
Click ‘OK’ to continue.
Click Capture button and place
your finger on the scanner
Once ‘Fingerprint Captured
Successfully’ message is
displayed, click OK button
If the fingerprint capture is successful, the
system will show fingerprint encrypted data in
‘ISO template’ and ‘ISO image’ sections
Conclusion

With this we have successfully installed the


new biometric software and also tested
functioning of the scanner using test
application.
It is recommended

• To use licensed version of windows operating system

• That no malicious softwares are installed on your computer system (i.e., Pirated Softwares,
virus infected Softwares etc.,)

• To meet the minimum software/hardware requirements for installation of the new Biometric
Client s/w

• To use working PB-100 device.

• To Follow installation instructions properly

• To Perform the Scanner test before going for enrolment process

• To Swipe gently while giving the fingerprints

• To Check for the percentage and success message (System will consider the swipe with highest

To do three successful swipes while enrolling with a gap of 2-3 secs between each swipe.

• To use only one finger for all the 3 swipes for enrolment (becoz it is easy to remember one
finger)

• To remember the finger used for enrolment

• To use the same finger for attendance and other biometric purposes

• To re-enrol with fingerprint (MEDCO & MITRA) as previous enrolment data cannot be used by
the new biometric software, so you have to re-enrol with fingerprint

• To ensure that the same active MEDCO (who enrolled) is swiping while raising
Preauthorisation.
