C. Narrative Report

The teachers of Col. Lauro D. Dizon Memorial National High School held a program early
morning of May 28 that signaled the opening of Brigada Eskwela. Short orientation about the
mechanics and flow of the six-day activity was given by Mr. Ian A. Villareal, the school’s Chairman
of Brigada Eskwela. The presence of different groups of volunteers was also acknowledged. The
willing, ready and able brigade included eager teachers, enthusiastic parents, excited students, and
other concern people of the community.

On the first day of the week – long brigade, we, the Grade Nine Level Teaching force, were
assigned to clean the garden outside the New Deped Building which is located at the back of the
Red Buildng. As the Chief Adviser of Grade 9 level, Mrs. Girlie Bondad safeguards that the teachers
and some volunteers’ parents and students under her were doing their designated work by leading
it all the way.

As an adviser, I continued my duties on the following days. I eliminated unnecessary papers

from the past school years; while the students sweep the floor in and out of the room for the
second day. While on Day 3, I started to clean and remove the dust from the windows and ceiling
with the help of my students to make the room more refreshing for the incoming school year.
While on the 4th Day of the brigade, we applied floor wax so the floor would look as good as new
students will come and use the room for study. On the 5th Day of the brigade, I posted the signages
for emergency, class schedules, list of students in my section, and BEIS. I also placed the donated
first aid kit in our room.

June 2, 2018, Saturday was the last day of the week – long activity of the Brigada Eskwela, I
again asked the help of my husband to double checked the room and to sweep it for the last time.
After that, I attended the closing ceremony of Brigada Eskwela. Generally, the school is now ready
for the school opening. Evidences for the week long activity are attached herewith.
