Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering and
Civil Engineering and offer Post Graduate Degree programs in Five Specialisation i.e. Aeronautical
Engineering, Thermal system, Applied Electronics, Computer Science Engineering and Structural
Engineering. Well qualified and experienced faculty and committed staff are eager to provide
effective education to students. We aim at creating all rounded personality in our students-
professionally and socially. To align with our innovative teaching practices, we have excellent
faculty and state of the art infrastructural facilities and laboratories.
HEAD’S VOICE

It’s my immense pleasure to brief the history of

Department of Mechanical Engineering at Excel Engineering
College, This department was established in the academic year
of 2008-09 with a yearly intake of 60 and the intake was
increased to 120 by 2012 - 13 onwards and also a M.E –
Thermal Engineering was started in the academic year of
2014-15 with an intake of 24
The Department is continuously striving to achieve
excellence in Education, Academic and industry Oriented
Research as well as consultancy work with service to the
society. We aim to provide our students with a perfect blend of
intellectual and practical experiences that helps them to serve
our society and address a variety of needs.
The Mechanical Engineering discipline involves the application of principles of physics for
analysis, design, manufacturing and maintenance of Mechanical System. It requires a solid
understanding of key concepts including Mechanics, Kinematics, Thermodynamics and Energy.
Mechanical Engineers use these principles and involve themselves in design and analysis of
Automobiles, Aircraft, Heating and Cooling systems, Water Craft, Manufacturing plants, Industrial
Equipments and Machinery, Medical Devices and more
