DRAFT PROPOSAL: IIT Team Building 2019

RATIONALE

Team building brings people together by encouraging collaboration and teamwork.

Fun activities that help people see each other in a different light allow them to connect in
a different setting.

One of the most powerful reasons for team building is to get results. Through a
series of planned team building events that are fun and motivational, teams build skills
like communication, planning, problem-solving and conflict resolution. These team
building activity ideas help to facilitate long term team building through fostering genuine
connections, deeper discussions and processing.

Teachers were asked to think about the implications of these activities at their
workplace despite of paper works, summer class preparations, arrangement for additional
course to be offered by the institute and accounted number of enrollees for incoming
school year, teachers need to reload, unwind, recharge their body and mind settings for
at the heart of every good event is a sense of fun and excitement and there’s a way to
have a few laughs, blow off some steam, and get your mind off of the routine things that
occupy your day-to-day experiences.

The following are the primary purposes of IIT Team Building 2019: (1) to enhance
the effectiveness of current director; (2) to prepare the faculty and staff for future
organization roles; (3) to provide opportunities and encouragement for the faculty and
staff to enhance their skills through professional development; (4) to promote managerial
and administrative excellence through accountability and succession planning; and (5)
develop multicultural competence among all members of the Institute through curriculum,
professional development, and social interaction.”

The purpose of this one-day workshop is not merely to transfer skills and lessons
to its participants, but to their organizations and colleagues, so that effective teamwork
will become a hallmark of the area’s institutions. The following are specific outcomes: (1)
provide information, knowledge, skills and resources on team building and demonstrate
the importance of teamwork in sustainable development; (2) inculcate skills on leadership
and decision making; (3) explain methods of dealing with organizational conflicts,
