Hello, and welcome to this guide.
This is the downloadable version of Choccy’s guide from the KaW Forums,
and that guide can be found here.

Epic Battles
It really depends on your build as to which EB you can hit and which EB is
for you, but a rough guide is:
<25 lands with T1 builds stick to Tier 1 Epic Battles
<25 lands with T2 buildings stick to Tier 2 & Tier 3 Epic Battles
25+ lands with T4 buildings stick to Tier 5 & Tier 6 Epic Battles
30+ lands with T4 & T5 buildings stick to Tier 6 & Tier 7 Epic Battles
40+ lands with T4 & T5 buildings stick to Tier 7 and Tier 8 Epic
Battles
50+ lands with T4 & T5 & T6 buildings stick to Tier 10 Epic Battles
Operating outside of the above is possible, but expects to use health crystals,
spells, high BFA, and/or potions to compensate for your build.
Note: Spy builds have a much easier time hitting, so hansels, hybrids, and
pure-spies may be able to operate against epic battles harder than their
troop build counterparts.
This guide is by no means 100% accurate and is simply based on Wulf’s, my,
and other players’ observations.
Some epic battles in the same tier are harder than others.
In addition, some epic battles require different builds to complete.
For example: Foreign Territories is an epic battle with spy actions only,
whereas New Growth is practically an epic battle with attack actions
only.
However this guide should give you a basic starting point.

they’ve been increasing their guards.

Second: Scout Gather Intelligence to 0% [100%]
Mission Completion: Your spies return from the enemy. Calydor appears
to be guarding a massive vault of treasure.
CLAN COMPLETION BONUS UNLOCKED

When your clan completes this mission for the first time it unlocks the
Calydor the Depraved Clan Achievement to Level 1, which has the
following total bonuses:
Attack Bonus = 1% to everyone while they are in the clan

Defense Bonus = 0% to everyone while they are in the clan
Spy Attack Bonus = 0% to everyone while they are in the clan
Spy Defense Bonus = 0% to everyone while they are in the clan

vault. Sneak in and see what you can find.

First: Use Item: Sleeping Potion on Water Supply [24,000] and Assassinate
Stray Guards [9,000]
Second: Steal Treasures to 0% [100%]
Mission Completion: Your clan was able to plunder gold and countless
jewelry. These were mere trinkets though. Maybe their kingdom is
hiding something else.

Level 3 – Kingdom Assault

Time: 6 hours
Description: Your intelligence was mistaken. The boar army is hiding

something even more valuable. Battle through their lines of defense and
bring down their kingdom gate.
PHASE 1:
First: Attack and Assassinate First Line [18,375]
This bar regenerates 552 points every 5 minutes.
Second: Attack and Assassinate Second Line [30,625]
Third: Attack and Assassinate Kingdom Gate to 0% [100%]
Mission Completion: You've broken through the gate. Now make your
way into the kingdom.

Time: 9 hours
Blood Rains Time: 4 hours
Description: Now that the gate has breached, your clan would need to
their way through, gathering keys to the chamber on the way.
PHASE 1:
First: Attack and Assassinate Foot Soldiers [72,000] and Use Item: Mist of
Confusion on Soldiers Co-ordination [72,000]
Second: Steal Keys Remaining to 68% [100%]
Phase 1/2 Completion: You've battled through the guard house. Direct
your army to the keep and steal the remaining keys.
PHASE 2:
First: Attack and Assassinate Guards of the Keep [202,500]
Second: Steal Keys Remaining to 0% [68%]
Mission Completion: You've gotten the keys to the inner chamber and
some treasure at the same time. Prepare your troops for the epic battle
against Calydor.

Description: Calydor's chamber lies up ahead. Defeat him, and the

treasures are yours.

This bar regenerates 1,200 points every 2 minutes.
Second: Scout Undiscovered Weaknesses [9,750]
Third: Attack and Assassinate Health to 80% [100%]
This bar regenerates 2% every 2 minutes.
Phase 1/2 Completion: Calydor rises to attention, ready to face you

head on.
PHASE 2:
First: Attack and Assassinate Tusks [52,500]
Second: Attack and Assassinate Horns [52,500]
Third: Attack and Assassinate Hide [31,500]
Fourth: Attack and Assassinate Hooves [21,000]
Fifth: Attack and Assassinate Eyes [10,500]
Sixth: Attack and Assassinate Health to 0% [80%]
Mission Completion: Critically wounded, Calydor collapses, leaving the

unguarded treasures to you.

Phase 1/2 Completion: The beast is called, prepare your forces for
battle.
PHASE 2:
First: Attack Boar Brigade [10,500]

Mission Completion: With a blinding flash, a wave of deadly

maledictions seize the war beast, dissipating his very form. Calydor has
fallen once more.

Description: The sudden disappearance of your amada has caused great

alarm amongst your people. Unbeknownst to them, there is an ancient
evil that lurks in the far depths of the ocean.

First: Scout Investigation Remaining to 25% [100%]
Phase 1/2 Completion: An eerie calm fills the air, as huge tentacles rise
up and out from the deep, threatening your ships from both sides!
PHASE 2:
First: Attack and Assassinate Starboard Side Tentacle [1,500]
Second: Attack and Assassinate Port Side Tentacle [9,000]
Third: Scout Investigation Remaining to 0% [25%]
Mission Completion: Your ships have survived, but something much

more fearful lies deep beneath the waves... and it's moving towards
shore. Race home to tell the rest of your kingdom of the threat at hand.

Phase 1/2 Completion: Before you can land the killing blow, a sea of
tentacles rises up from the depths, surrounding you.

Second: Scout Massive Tentacles to 0% [20%]
Mission Completion: As it senses its inevitable demise, it retreats into

the depths of the waters.

Enslaved by Z'uthmerak, they enter the fray.
PHASE 1:
First: Attack and Assassinate Seraphis the Great [64,800], Scout Elestrial the
Just [8,760], Steal Celest the Angelic [7,800], and Use Item: Bribery Gem on
Nerissius the Wanderer [32,400] for first 50% and then Assassinate for the
last 50%
Second: Attack and Assassinate Deviticus the Savior to 0% [100%]
Mission Completion: Defeated at last, the Myrmidons come to their

senses, grateful to you for breaking them free. With Z'uthmerak's threat
still looming, it seems you have a common score to settle.

Description: Z'uthmerak regrows its limbs for the final battle. The freed
Myrmidons plan to open a path while your forces attack the beast's
monstrous head. Let the reckoning begin...

First: Attack and Assassinate Sea of Tentacles (Port) [189,000] and Sea of
Tentacles (Starboard) [189,000]
Second: Attack and Assassinate Head of Z'uthmerak to 75% [100%]
Phase 1/3 Completion: Angered, Z'uthmerak summons all its might,

raising an entire sea of massive tentacles to confront your allied
assault.
PHASE 2:

troll arrives to defend the entrance.
PHASE 2:
First: Attack and Assassinate Snokee the Troll [45,350]

entrance. They look much more battle-hardened.

magical mace.
PHASE 2:
First: Attack and Assassinate Usaris's Mace [150,000]
Phase 2/3 Completion: Usaris casts the Sol Spell, and the mace has
been made whole again under the protection of the spell.
PHASE 3:
First: Attack and Assassinate Usaris’s Mace [150,000] and Use Item: Scroll of
the Mage’s Eye on Sol Spell [48,000]
The bar Usaris’s Mace regenerates 1.500 points every 3 minutes.
The bar Sol Spell regenerates 480 points every 3 minutes.
Mission Completion: The entryway has been breached. Head in and take
out the troll king.

Mission Completion: The stone golem is reduced to a pile of rubble.

Your soldiers return with the stone tablets as clues.

Description: The impassable Sol mountains stand before you... yet the

Phase 1/2 Completion: The titans made of the very mountains

themselves dissolve into their surroundings, blending into their own
element.
PHASE 2:
First: Scout Mountainous Terrain [48,750]
Mission Completion: The titans fall, defeated. A path to the inner circle
of the Sol mountains has been revealed to your forces.

First: Attack and Assassinate Iron Titans [16,800]
Second: Attack and Assassinate Golem Horde to 75% [100%]
Phase 1/3 Completion: The golem horde pauses their assault, the rubble
of their defeated brethren beginning to mount.
PHASE 2 [Midnight]:
First: Attack and Assassinate Ruby Titans [25,200]
Phase 2/3 Completion: Your forces stand their ground against the
endless onslaught. You may make it through this yet.
PHASE 3 [Daybreak]:
First: Assassinate Diamond Encrusted Titans [10,800]
Optional: Steal Gemstones [200,000]
Mission Completion: The last of the horde falls, as the sun rises above
the mountain tops. Deep in the distance, a monstrous rumbling erupts,
shaking the very foundations of the mountains.

Phase 1/4 Completion: Thorak's rocky exterior crumbles off, revealing a

hardened metallic body.

First: Use Item: Elixir of Rage on Stoic Calm [10,000]
Second: Attack and Assassinate Lifeforce to 60% [80%]
Phase 2/4 Completion: Thorak's molten core churns with a blistering

heat.
PHASE 3:
First: Attack and Assassinate Iron Titans [25,000]
Second: Use Item: Elven Shield on Intense Heat [20,000]
Third: Attack and Assassinate Lifeforce to 40% [60%]
Phase 3/4 Completion: Composure restored, Thorak stands ready to

defend your assault.
PHASE 4:
First: Attack and Assassinate Summoned Golems [20,000]
Second: Attack and Assassinate Iron Titans [25,000]
Third: Use Item: Elven Shield and Elixir of Rage on Smoldering Form
[40,000]

Time: 6 hours
Description: A floating isle can be seen off in the distance, with ghostly
apparitions spawning from its location. Wherever the floating kingdom
appears, nightmares turn into reality.
PHASE 1:
First: Attack and Assassinate Skeletal Apparitions [94,500]
Second: Use Item: Seal of Deflection on Seal of the Dead to 25% [100%]
Phase 1/2 Completion: With a haunting scream, more apparitions

appear from the isle.
PHASE 2:
First: Attack and Assassinate Skeletal Apparition Horde [283,500]
Mission Completion: With the seal now broken, a gateway has been
created between both worlds, allowing your entry into the isle.

Apheriun of Exile Clan Achievement to Level 1, which has the following
total bonuses:

Description: With the gateway to the nether plane opened, your forces
advance into the nether plane and the unknowns which lay beyond.
PHASE 1:
First: Attack and Assassinate Apheriun to 90% [100%]
Phase 1/4 Completion: Apheriun mocks you with your short lived
victory, reformed anew Apheriun retreats further in to the nether realm
and stands ready to command the armies of the nether.
PHASE 2:
First: Attack and Assassinate Legions of the Nether [130,000]
Second: Scout Nether Beasts [20,000]
Third: Use Item: Seal of Deflection on Apheriun’s Seal [15,000]
Fourth: Attack and Assassinate Apheriun to 70% [90%]
Phase 2/4 Completion: Weakened, Apheriun gathers his strength once

again.
PHASE 3:
First: Use Item: Seal of Deflection on Apheriun’s Improved Seal [15,000] to
between 6,750 and 8,250 points
Second: While keeping the bar at this range, Attack and Assassinate
Apheriun to 20% [70%]
Phase 3/4 Completion: With the very last of his strength, Apheriun
makes a final attempt to stop you.
52 TO THE TOP
PHASE 4:
First: Use Item: Seal of Deflection on Apheriun’s Improved Seal [15,000] to
between 6,750 and 8,250 points
Second: Use Item: Seal of Lightning on Seal of the Nether [30,000] testing
to see if you can attack Apheriun every 1,000 - 2,000 points. The sweet spot
is different every time, but it is 3,000 points wide.
This bar regenerates 900 points every 1 minute.

Half-Awakened State:

Apheriun to awake. Many call this "God Mode". During "God Mode", you
cannot have any successful actions. "God Mode" typically lasts between 5-8
minutes and repeats every 5-8 minutes. Sometimes you enter the 3% stage
in "God Mode", and sometimes you enter it in-between.
If you enter during "God Mode", you must "test" for it to be over.
To test, either Use Item: Locust Swarm or Angel of Light and Holy
Wrath.
Repeat every 30 seconds or so until you get a success.
Once you get a success the "God Mode" is over and you may proceed to
step #2.
Second: Use Item: Angels of Light and Holy Wrath on Haze of the
Accursed [15,000] and Use Item: Locust Swarm on Forests of Corruption
[5,000]
The bar Haze of the Accursed regenerates 2,250 points every 6 minutes.
