Bontomatene Kabupaten Kepulauan Selayar.

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of parental attention on student achievement in
economic subjects in class XI IPS SMA Negeri 1 Bontomatene, Selayar Islands Regency.

The population in this study were all students of class XI IPS of SMA Negeri 1 Bontomatene, Selayar
Islands Regency, totaling 76 students. Sampling in this study uses a saturated sampling technique that is
the overall number of the population in the study. There are two types of variables used in this study,
namely the independent variable (independent) and the dependent variable (dependent). The
independent variable in this study is the attention of parents while the dependent variable is student
achievement in economic subjects in the form of semester report cards.

This research uses a quantitative approach with data collection techniques through observation,
questionnaires and documentation. The data analysis technique used is a simple regression analysis test
with a significance level of 0.05%. The results of this study indicate that people's attention has a positive
and significant effect on Learning Achievement.
