Installing a program from a CD or DVD Installation Disc:
To install a program from CD or DVD…
1. Insert the program disc into your computer’s disc drive or tray, label side up.
2. Click the option to run Install or Setup.
3. If the installer offers a language selection, choose yours; likewise, agree to the end-user license agreement, if
requested.
4. If the installer offers Express or Custom installation options, choose the Express option to let the installer set up the
program without further input from you.
5. As the installer program continues to run and display dialog boxes, click the Next or Continue button.
6. Click the Finish or Close button in the last step of the installer program to complete the process.
Installing a Program from the Internet
1. Download the program from the website providing the program.
2. Open the download folder.
3. If the file you downloaded is an executable file, double-click the file icon to start the setup process. If the downloaded
file is compressed (e.g., .zip), you must extract the file's contents before setup can begin. Fortunately, this function is
built into most versions of Windows.
4. Once the files are extracted, double-click the setup to install.
Installing a Software using a USB thumb drive
1. Locate a file named Setup.exe, Start.exe, Install.exe, or similar.
2. Double-click the file and proceed with the installation.
