1. INTRODUCTION

If by coincidence or change a person happens to be at the place of occurance at the time it is


taking place, he is called change witness. The expression has been borrowed from foreign
countries where every men’s considered his castle and every one must have an explaination
elsewhere or in another men’s castle. It is quiet unsustainable an expression in our country
where people are less formal and more casual at any rate in the matter explaining their
presence.

2.AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

The aims and objective of the researcher is given below:-

1. To study the types of witness..


2. To study and analyse the chance witness.

HYPOTHESIS

The researcher presume that:-

(1) in criminal trial suspicion cannot be regarded as legel proof.

4.RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

The researcher has adopted doctrinal method of research and the entire paper is in
the form of analysis of the established facts and statement of the report.

The researcher will be relying on both primary as well as secondary sources of data to complete
the project

LIMITATIONS

The researcher has to depend on official records, books and he followed only
doctrinal method .Also time was a very big limitation while the making of this project.
