Expectations: (1) Students arrive on time and are prepared. (2) Students are respectful of themselves and
others. (3) Students take responsibility for their own learning. (4) Students follow all school policies including
putting cell phones/electronic devices away during class unless otherwise specified by teacher.

Daily Supplies:

Notebook (3 ring binder with dividers, loose leaf paper)

Pencils, eraser

Recommended: graphing calculator (TI 83 or TI 84)

Homework – Students will be given homework each night. Homework is checked daily and graded for
completion only. Homework is due at the beginning of class, and it will not be accepted late. In order to
receive full credit, the student must show all work. Students should attempt all problems by drawing a picture
and/or writing meaningful questions if they do not know how to answer the problem correctly.

Daily attendance and participation in class are essential for success in this course.
Make Up Work – It is the responsibility of the student to arrange for makeup work and complete it
promptly in accordance with the policy in the student handbook. Students are responsible for keeping track of
assignments in class and on PowerSchool. Missed tests or quizzes will need to be made up during
Personalization Time in class or SMART Lunch on Mondays as quickly as possible.

Grades will be averaged as follows:

Each Quarter Grade: Tests and other major assessments – 60%
Quizzes and other minor assessments – 30%
Daily Work (HW/CW) – 10%
Final Grade: 1st Quarter – 40%
2nd Quarter – 40%
Exam – 20%

Extra Help – Math Tutorials are scheduled during Personalization Time in class on Tuesdays
or during Smart Lunch on Mondays. Other days/times are possible if prior arrangements are
made with the teacher.
