There have been varying news reports - all with different versions of the process used - and some inferring that processes were not appropriately followed by the Board. Reports have also included concerns about whether the Board circumvented FOI statutes. In order to obtain factual information about the Presidential search process, I would request you appoint an Oversight Subcommittee to review the actions of the USC Board of Trustees. Hopefully the review will not only obtain the facts but can be used to improve the process for future searches and to reestablish the confidence of our citizens in the State’s flagship university Thank you for your consideration and please let me know if I may provide further information about the request.
