1.0 Introduction:

Elementar Vario EL III Serial No. 11064058 GMBH, Hanau, Germany


is required to be maintained under AMC for smooth and trouble free
operation. Since this is sophisticated and specialist equipment, it can
only be maintained by its Original Supplier.

2.0 Scope of Work:

2.1 You shall be fully responsible for upkeeping and maintenance of


CHNS Elemental Analyser Model Vario EL III, S. No. 11064058 in
trouble free running condition at their rated capacity as per the
maintenance manual and as per instruction of the Executing
Authority of this contract. Your service engineer shall undertake
the following activities (jobs) during each preventive maintenance
visit.

i) Filling of combustion, reduction and drying tubes, if required


ii) Leak test after filling of different tubes
iii) Checking ‘O’ ring fitting
iv) Heating out columns
v) Cleaning and replacement of O2 lance, if required
vi) Checking and replacement of Ash finger
vii) Checking and observation of different parameters of TCD
viii) Checking of electronics board and components, if required

ix) Cleaning and checking up ball valve attachment

2.2 You shall be fully responsible for servicing and repairing of unit
and their accessories. The service charges do not include repair of
transformer, PC boards, motors and refrigeration system and glass
wares. If repair works of are carried out by the service provider,
charges will be paid by RDCIS separately.

2.3 After execution of the servicing work as mentioned at clause 2.1


above in each visit i.e. either preventive or breakdown maintenance
visit the performance of the equipment shall be demonstrated by
you/your service engineer to the Executing Authority of this
contract.

2.4 Tools, tackles, instruments and any other items required for
maintenance of the equipments shall be arranged by you at your

cost. However, any special tools supplied to us by the
manufacturer of the equipments shall be made available to you on
request.

2.5 All tests and measuring instruments to be used by you/your


service engineer during servicing and maintenance works should
have valid calibration.

3.0 Number of visits:

3.1 For execution of the scope of work as mentioned at clause 2.0


hereinabove your service engineer shall carryout 2 (two) numbers
of preventive maintenance visits at an interval of six months
during and 2 (two) numbers of breakdown maintenance visits
or as per instruction of the Executing Authority of this contract
every year. Breakdown visits should be attended within one week
after information.

4.0 Spare Parts:

4.1 During each maintenance visit your service engineer shall examine
the stock of spares available with us (RDCIS, SAIL, Ranchi) and
help to maintain the level of stock of required spares for trouble
free running operation of the above equipments.

4.2 The spare parts, if required, shall be provided by RDICS, SAIL,


Ranchi during the contractual period. However, if any spare is not
available in stock of RDICS, SAIL but available with you (M/s.
Elementar India Pvt. Ltd., Gurgaon), the same will be supplied by
you when required on written request of the Executing Authority
for replacement as per rates of spares prevailing during that
period.

5.0 Charges:

5.1 We shall pay you service charges plus GST (as Applicable) for
execution of the scope of work and number of visit mentioned at
clause 2.0 & 3.0 hereinabove during the contractual period as
mentioned herein.

5.2 The prices of required and replace spares in actual and its taxes as
applicable shall be paid to you extra within 15 days on receipt of
bills in triplicate with relevant documents duly certified by the
Executing Authority of this contract.

5.3 The service charges hereinabove shall remain firm and fixed till the
validity of the contract. There shall be no any escalation during the
contractual period.

6.0 Payments Terms:

6.1 The payment of service charges hereinabove shall be made to you


in two equal installments every year within 15 days after
execution of the work in each preventive/breakdown maintenance
visit and successful demonstration of the equipment and their
accessories and on receipt of bills in triplicate for the same.

6.2 The payment for the price of spares replaced in actual and taxes, if
applicable, shall be paid to you extra within 15 days on receipt of
bills in triplicate with relevant documents duly certified by the
Executing Authority of this contract.

6.3 Income tax and other statutory taxes as applicable shall be


deducted and certificate to this account shall be sent to you by our
Finance Department. However, no income tax shall be deducted for
supply of spares.

6.4 Please submit your all bills in triplicate with required documents,
if any, directly to the Executing Authority of this contract who will
forward the same after necessary certification w.r.t. to satisfactory
execution of the work in respective preventive maintenance visit to
DGM & I/c (F&A), Party Bill for releasing the payment through
electronic mode. Please mention PAN number in all your bills.

6.5 Please indicate your GSTIN & SAC No. in all the invoices. SAIL
BSL’s GSTIN 20AAACS7062FAZJ is also indicated in these
documents.

6.6 The contractor shall comply with all the applicable GST rules,
regulations and provisions, in consultations with RDCIS, finance.

7.0 Safety:

Party (M/s. Elementar India Pvt. Ltd., Gurgaon) shall arrange for
all safety appliances at their own cost for proper safety of their
service engineer/technician during the working hours and the
contractor shall fulfill all the safety measures for their workers at
their own cost. Also safety requirement pertaining to the scope of
work and all the safety rules/regulations, as applicable shall be
followed by the contractor at their own cost.

8.0 Validity:

8.1 This service contract shall be remain valid for a period of 2 (two)
years.

9.0 Executing Authority:


9.1 DGM & HOG (CCG), RDCIS, SAIL, Ranchi-2 or his authorized
representative shall be the Executing Authority for operation
of this contract. You shall contact them for necessary
instruction in this regard.
