HO/BU-Rural/NC/ Date: 06.08.2014 ILAR TO L National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM) MIS Codes for Identification of NRLM compliant Women Self Help Groups (WSHGs) ‘As you are aware that SGSY scheme was restructured as NRLM with effect from 1* April 2013, the detail guidelines were circulated vide Head Office Branch Circular No. 107/78 dated 23.07.2013 to all Branches/Zones. 2 Under NRLM scheme, the capital subsidy is abolished, however in the scheme 2% of interest subvention & 3% additional interest subvention for prompt payment is provided to WSHGs up to limit of Rs.3.00lakh. Banks to charge ROI @7% up to limit of Rs.3.00 lakh in respect of WSHGs in 150 identified districts (Category-I districts). The detailed Operational guidelines for interest subvention were circulated vide our Circular Letter No.:2013-14/167 dated 28.11.2013. 3. ‘You will appreciate that to pass on the benefit of interest subvention to eligible WSHGs and proper accounting thereof identification of eligible WSHG accounts is very important. To have online identification of eligible WSHG accounts ‘and smooth lodgments of interest subvention claims and also settlement & credit to respective accounts, we had advised MIS codes and other codes to the Zones vide our IOM No. HO/RuralNVWI2013-14/1204 dated 24.01.2014. We presume the same must have been circulated to all Branches for updation in the system. 4. Despite our repeated follow up, we observed that branches had not updated the codes in the system for NRLM compliant WSHG accounts, which created lot of problem in claiming correct amount of interest subvention from MoRD through Canara Bank in respect of WSHGs in 150 identified districts ( Category | districts) for the year 2013-14. We have huge amount of mismatch in number of accounts and amount already uploaded to Canara Bank portal and actual audited claims received from the Branches/Zones. 5. We are reproducing here under related codes for proper identification ‘of NRLM compliant WSHGs and branches are advised to update the codes for all eligible NRLM compliant WSHGs in all existing accounts and ensure that new accounts to be opened by giving proper MIS & other codes.6. SHG codes are appearing in two menu options and system will identify the NRLM compliant WSHG accounts based on these codes.
