How He Loves

David Crowder Band

He is jealous for me, Loves like a hurricane, I am a tree,

Bending beneath the weight of his wind and mercy.
When all of a sudden, I am unaware of these afflictions eclipsed by glory,
And I realize just how beautiful You are,
And how great Your affections are for me.

And oh, how He loves us oh

Oh how He loves us,
How He loves us all

He loves us,
Oh how He loves us,
Oh how He loves us,
Oh how He loves.

And we are His portion and He is our prize,

Drawn to redemption by the grace in His eyes,
If His grace is an ocean, we're all sinking.
And heaven meets earth like an unforeseen kiss,
And my heart turns violently inside of my chest,
I don't have time to maintain these regrets,
When I think about, the way

That He loves us,

Oh how He loves us,
Oh how He loves us,
Oh how He loves.

The song entitled “How He Loved Us” comes from the studio album “The Song Inside the
Sound of Breaking Down”. The songs in the album was written by John Mark McMillan. It
was released on November 28, 2005. This particular song was written to pay tribute to
the authors best friend during his funeral.

The lyrics of the song used a lot of figurative languages like simile, metaphor, imagery
and symbolism which is noticeable in the verses of the song. Some of the lyrics also was
base on the bible which has a biblical meaning. Which definitely deals with spiritual aspect
of life. Love is obviously the theme of the song. The song also takes our cultural norms
and perception about love. The song talks about a love that is unfailing and reliable. A
love that can’t be given by any human being but by God alone. He loves us in the way we
needed to be loved. A love that is willing to sacrifice its own life just to save us all. Lastly,
He loved us first and continues to love us even how many times we fail and disappoint
Him but still His willing to accept us. This song remind us that God is always with us and
love us unconditionally.

Oceans (Where Feet May Fail)

Hillsong UNITED
You call me out upon the waters
The great unknown where feet may fail
And there I find You in the mystery
In oceans deep
My faith will stand
And I will call upon Your name
And keep my eyes above the waves
When oceans rise, my soul will rest in Your embrace
For I am Yours and You are mine
Your grace abounds in deepest waters
Your sovereign hand
Will be my guide
Where feet may fail and fear surrounds me
You've never failed and You won't start now
So I will call upon Your name
And keep my eyes above the waves
When oceans rise, my soul will rest in Your embrace
For I am Yours and You are mine
Spirit lead me where my trust is without borders
Let me walk upon the waters
Wherever You would call me
Take me deeper than my feet could ever wander
And my faith will be made stronger
In the presence of my Savior
Spirit lead me where my trust is without borders
Let me walk upon the waters
Wherever You would call me
Take me deeper than my feet could ever wander
And my faith will be made stronger
In the presence of my Savior
I will call upon Your name
Keep my eyes above the waves
My soul will rest in Your embrace
I am Yours and You are mine
