Introduction

A barangay before was called a barrio, are the tiniest division in the

The Barangay Peacekeeping Action Team or BPAT is created for

Representatives, police auxiliaries).


The functions of BPAT is to (1) organize and mobilize various

sectors of the community in support of the maintenance of peace

Order and safety, (2) conduct any crisis management, disaster

Mitigation, Search, rescue and relief operations within the

Community. (3) To Strengthen and support the Barangay Justice

System. And to (4) conduct crime prevention and deterrence

Measures to protect the vulnerable sectors of the community.
