Lazy Summer Days
Summer days are coming to an end. As we
prepare for school to start, remember to register
August 12, 2019! We sent out school supplies
list last week so don’t forget to check the mail
as well.
KINDERGARTNER CAMP DOG DAYS OF SUMMER

Union Elementary School will be hosting a

Kindergarten Camp for all incoming Kinders!
Come drop your students off or join us from 9
a.m. - 12 p.m. August 19th- August 23rd. We
will be having story time, math centers, snack
and P.E. every day!
PREPARE FOR THE 1ST DAY
Commonly parents ask how to prepare their
kids to go back to school. I will share with
you some simple tasks. First register, then get
out your school supplies lists and go
shopping! Have fun shopping for school and
get the kids excited about it. Another thing
that will make your mornings easier is to
bump up the bedtimes and night routines
gradually to prepare for the early mornings.
July is known for being the second month of
summer and we call the days in July the, Dog
Day of Summer because of the long hot days
it has. It is also the month in which we
celebrate Independence Day! I encourage all
of you to do some fun summer science
projects like this one called, Magic Milk

Also, go down to your local library and check

I am looking forward to seeing everyone on the first day of

school September 4, 2019! In August I will not be sending out a
newsletter but, I will be sending out postcards to students.

sentences long. Include a
“quote” from a famous person
about the event.

 List here what the
most important things
to remember are.
 There needs to be at
least 4 if not more.
 Throughout the
assignment have fun
with the layout.
