5 hdc = 1 inch

Suits newborn

Materials
3.5mm crochet hook
4ply Baby Yarn (I used Patons Big Baby 4ply)
Yarn needle
6mm ribbon of your choice

Pattern Notes
* For a larger mitten, simply use a larger hook and vice versa if you are wanting a smaller mitten.

Rnd 1. Ch 3, 10 dc in 3rd ch from hook, sl st to 1st dc. (10sts)


Rnd 2. Ch 2 (counts as st here and throughout)

next to the ch-33 from start of round. This is ok, we will be weaving ribbon through this round anyway, so you won’t
even notice). After last hdc, ch 1, sl st into 2nd ch of beginning ch-3. (14sts & 14 ch-spaces)

Rnd 10. Ch 2, hdc in each st and cch-space around, sl st to ch-2.
Rnd 11. Ch 1, sc in each st aroundaround, sl st to ch-1.
Fasten off and weave in ends.

Finishing
Cut two 30cm lengths of ribbon and weave through ch ch-spaces on round 9 of mittens.
Alternatively you could chain
hain two 330cm lengths instead of using ribbon.
