Resolution No. 01 Series of 2017

A Resolution Nominating the C2S Campus MinistryAdviser for Approval of the University
President through the Director of Student Affairs pursuant to Article 213 of the USM Code

WHEREAS: In Article 213 Supervision of Student Organization and Activities Section 1 of the
USM Code states that “All student Organization shall be directly under the supervision of the
Director for Student Affairs through its Student Organization Regulatory Service which shall
work in close cooperation and consultation with the Deans concern.”

WHEREAS; in the ensuing section (Article 213 Section 2) states also that “Every student
organization shall have one or more faculty advisers chosen by them and approved by the
President of theUniversity on the recommendation of the Director of Student Affairs.”

WHEREAS; C2S had two faculty nominees for the position of Adviser namely: DR.
GLYN B. GABANO - MAGBANUA Ph.D. and Prof. KENNY P. ALCANTARA, MALT

WHEREAS; the C2S Officers confers their willingness to become the Adviser for the S.Y.
2017-2018, and bothDR. GLYN B. GABANO - MAGBANUA Ph.D. and Prof. KENNY P.
ALCANTARA, MALT was unanimously preferred by the officers to become the
organization’s Adviser.

WHEREAS;C2S strongly endorsed bothDR. GLYN B. GABANO - MAGBANUA Ph.D.

and Prof. KENNY P. ALCANTARA, MALT to become the effective C2S Adviser for the
S.Y. 2017-2018.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT,

RESOLVED, as it is hereby resolved, to nominate and endorseDR. GLYN B. GABANO -

MAGBANUA Ph.D. and Prof. KENNY P. ALCANTARA, MALT as C2S Adviser for
approval of the USM President, through the Director of Student Affairs pursuant to Article 213
Section 1 and 2 of USM Code.

RESOLVED FURTHERMORE, that this resolution is unanimously adopted by the Connect 2

Students Campus Ministryofficers and shall be takes its effect upon approval.
