Steam condensation
The heat transfer coefficient for condensing steam is set to a fixed value based on reported research.
Values in the literature range from as little as 300 Btu/hr-ft2-F to 1500, with the higher values considered more accurate.
The balance of opinion is to use a value in the 800 to 1000 range
Value for steam coefficient: 900 Btu/ft²-hr-°F

Revision History
2.01 3/13/2001 Fixed steam property lookup problem that caused steam calculations to fail
2.02 4/1/2001 Switching from SI to English units failed because the protection on the Saved Calcs sheet wasn't removed
2.03 5/1/2001 Added "experimental pressure drop data" option
Added new dimple jacket correlations from Garvin, CEP, April 2001
Fixed miscellaneous formatting annoyances
2.03a 1/25/2003 Fixed conversion error for agitation nozzle on Calculations sheet
2.03b 1/20/2004 Vessel contents cell (L66) on Data Input sheet -- formula bug
Added error check to cell D100 on Calculations sheet -- fixes bug when there's an internal coil but no jacket
2.03c 10/9/2005 Fixed series flow temperature discrepancy
2.03d 4/30/2006 NRE and Nu calc corrections for internal coil flow
Added additional method to estimate the viscosity at the wall
