ANGELS WE HAVE HEARD ON HIGH (D)

Angels we have heard on high, sweetly singing o’er the plains

And the mountains in reply echoing their joyous strains

Gloria, in excelsis Deo Gloria, in excelsis Deo

Shepherds why this jubilee, why your joyous strains prolong

What the gladsome tidings be which inspire your heav’nly song

Come to Bethlehem and see Him whose birth the angels sing

Come adore on bended knee Christ the Lord the newborn King

THE FIRST NOEL (C)

The first noel, the angels did say was to certain poor shepherds in fields as they lay

In fields where they lay keeping their sheep on a cold winter’s night that was so deep

Noel, noel, noel, noel, born is the King of Israel

They looked up and saw a star shining in the East beyond them far

And to the earth it gave great light and so it continued both day and night

And by the light of that same star three wise men came from country far

To seek for a King was their intent and to follow the star wherever it went

Then entered in those Wise men three fell reverently upon their knee

And offered there in His presence their gold and myrrh and frankincense

Then let us all with one accord sing praises to our heavenly Lord

That hath made heav’n and earth of nought and with His blood mankind has bought

JESUS PAID IT ALL (C)

I hear the Savior say, Thy strength indeed is small

Child of weakness, watch and pray, find in Me thine all in all

Jesus paid it all, all to Him I owe

Sin had left a crimson stain, He washed it white as snow
Lord, now indeed I find Thy power and Thine alone

Can change the leper's spots and melt the heart of stone

For nothing good have I whereby Thy grace to claim

I'll wash my garments white in the blood of Calv'ry's Lamb

And when before the throne I stand in Him complete

I'll lay my trophies down, all down at Jesus' feet
