Find the ratio of displacement to distance in each case, if A and B are the initial and final
positions respectively in all three cases.

17. A bullet of mass 10g travelling horizontally with a velocity of 130 ms-1 strikes a
stationary wooden block and comes to rest in 0.03 s. calculate the distance of penetration
of the bullet into the block. Also calculate the magnitude of force by wooden block on the
bullet.
18. Find the force exerted by the earth on the sun. Given the mass of the earth = 6 * 1024Kg,
mass of the sun = 2 * 1030 Kg and the average distance between them is 1.5 * 108 Km.
19. (a) Two bodies A and B moving with momenta 10 Kg ms-1 and 5 Kg ms-1 respectively
along the same direction collide. Just after the collision the momentum of A is 6 Kg ms -1,
find the momentum of B.
20. (a) Give two advantages and two disadvantages of using fertilizers. What is Vermi-
