ACTIVITY #3: DANCE THERAPY

VENUE: PMHU ACTIVITY HALL


April 26, 2019 (9:00 AM -10:00 AM)

GENERAL OBJECTIVES:

 After 1 hour of an activity, the participant will be able to improve skills, find enjoyment and
develop desirable attitudes through dance therapy.
SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES:
Knowledge

 Follow the given instruction/dance steps.


 Able to execute dance steps accordingly.
Skills

 Enhance creativity and coordination.


 Enhance motor skills and balance.
 Develop or discover talent.
Attitude

 Display interest on the given activity.


 Enhance/boost self-confidence.
 Participate and cooperate actively.

III. Introduction of the activity:

IV. Activity Proper

We arranged mono block chairs at the side and back and let the participants fall in line in
a window- window formation as they will position comfortably and we ask them
individually the benefits of dancing.

First, we demonstrate the steps.


Second, we let the participants dance with us.
Third, we let the participants dance executing the dance steps we taught them.
Fourth, we took a short break and ask the participants what or how does they feel to
dance in the given activity.
Fifth, we dance all together in the finale.
V. Reflection:
Each patient was given a chance to join the activity. And we can see that all of them are
showing interest to participate in the activity.

VI. Giving of prizes for those who are active participants in the activity.

Evaluation:
After an hour of an activity the participants were able to acquire new knowledge,
improve new skills, enjoyed the activity and learn the benefits of dancing.
