MCL421 LAB REPORT - MADYMO

Objective : To model a vehicle pedestrian crash using a multibody


modeling technique in MADYMO and estimate the level of head injury

Formulation : We model the impact between a pedestrian and vehicle


front of a given design.

Model Vehicle : Hyundai Accent


Vehicle parameterization: We used SOLIDWORKS to import the vehicle
image, apply appropriate scaling and then model the vehicle.

Length of major axis for the ellipsoid.

Length of minor axis for the ellipsoid. Also shown is the vehicle

1) Obtained HIC Values : 462.79 (HIC_36ms) & 301.41(HIC_15ms)
