I am really grateful for being selected provisionally for Masters program Fall 2019 at USPCAS-W

Mehran University of Engineering and Technology, Jamshoro. This scholarship means a lot to me.
As I have did my bachelors on scholarship (merit and Baluchistan Educational Endowment fund
BEEF) besides that I am working as a home tutor since my third semester of bachelors to earn
some pocket money to bare my personal expenses because scholarships only covered my
university fees, for stipend I had to work as a home tutor. As my other siblings are also studying
so it’s really difficult for my father to manage all these educational expenditures. My father has a
family business of (Atta Chaki) in Quetta and mutual property in the name of my grandfather. The
income of this business and property is further divided between my father’s 7 brothers and 3
sisters. So, the share my father gets is not that much, we live in a rented house so its nearly
impossible for him to bare expenses of higher education. I am the only brother of 4 sisters but
my father gave all of us equal attention regarding education. As my 3 sisters are studying, one of
them is doing MPhil from Zia ud din Medical University Karachi on self-finance, so I don’t want to
over burden my father for my higher studies that’s why I applied for Masters program in Mehran
university as this university is providing scholarship. As I am from Baluchistan so it would be
difficult or even impossible for me to pursue my masters without scholarship and stipend. As
there is much expense of travelling from Quetta to Jamshoro. As I am from Baluchistan and don’t
have any relatives or place to live in Jamshoro, so there is also the expense of hostel which I
cannot bear. I can only pursue my masters if granted with scholarship and stipend otherwise I
must leave this opportunity with a very heavy heart. Moreover, it would be really devastating for
me to leave this opportunity just because I cannot afford travelling and hostel expenses. if I would
be given the chance by granting scholarship and stipend, I will prove by pursuing and completing
my masters that students from backward province of Baluchistan have the ability to compete
with students of other provinces. We the students of Baluchistan are not less by any means the
only thing we need is an opportunity.
