Suspect Sought in Road Rage Murder

On August 5, 2019 at approximately 7:37 p.m., LVMPD officers were dispatched to the I-15
northbound between Silverado Ranch and Blue Diamond Road to investigate a report of a road
rage incident that resulted in a shooting. Arriving officers located an adult male driver suffering
from apparent gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to UMC Trauma where he was
pronounced deceased.
Detectives from the LVMPD Homicide Section learned that the suspect vehicle was behind the
victim’s car as they traveled on the I-15. At some point, the suspect’s vehicle pulled up beside
the victim and fired multiple rounds into the Chrysler striking the victim. After the shooting, the
suspect vehicle continued driving north on the I-15 and fled the area prior to police arrival.
At the time of this release, no suspect or suspects have been identified. The suspect vehicle is
described as a white older model van. Detectives are asking for the publics assistance in
locating dash camera recordings of vehicles traveling northbound on the I-15 between Silverado
Ranch and Blue Diamond Road from the hours of 7:30 p.m. and 7:40 p.m.

LVMPD Homicide Detectives have located the van used in the road rage incident in Los
Angeles County, California. The van was brought to Las Vegas and is now with the LVMPD
Crime Lab. The investigation in this case is still on-going, no arrests have been made. We
appreciate the public’s assistance in this case
