IV. Proceedings

The outdoor activity was done at White Beach, UEP, University town, Catarman
Northern Samar last May 23, 2019. The day started with a tricycle ride to White
Beach where the children were taught the “buddy buddy” system. The whole group
was divided into 3 groups and aside from their groupings they have to be partners or
in threes as buddies, for easy accounting purposes. At the beach, we started our
activity with a prayer and a short program side by side with games and bathing in the
sea. The children enjoyed most of their games and presentations.

V. Evaluation of the activity

The activity was successful and all the children enjoyed. The objectives were met
and the children even expressed anticipation for another activity. The house parents
enjoyed and so were the staff. They have practiced the safety precautions in looking
after the children outside the center. The activity has provided them a venue to play
and dine together as parents and children while enjoying the sea water, the beach,
the heat of the sun and the shades of the trees, and their endless laughters.
