7 Dual Enrolment and Part Admission


Under this provision, if you are studying in a regular school, or have already passed Secondary/Senior
Secondary examination or any other higher course from any recognised Board/University, you may opt
for upto four subjects of your choice, to update knowledge and educational qualifications. However, on
passing, only the Marksheet will be issued and no other certificate will be issued. The entry requirement
for dual enrolment and part admission will be as per NIOS admission rule (Table-3 Entry Requirement).

2.8 Fee Structure for Admission NOTE


(a) Admission fee payable for Secondary/Senior Secondary Female learners of Ladakh are ex-

given in the Table - 5. In case unattested documents, Admission Form Form is liable to be rejected.

Free Education to Jail Inmates : NIOS has special facility of free Education for Jail Inmates
so that during their stay in jails, it could help them in earning their livelihood and bringing
them into the mainstream of society after they are released from jails.

For Dual Enrolment/ Part Admission, fee structure for Stream-1 is given in the Table-6A and fee structure
for Online learners under streams- 2, 3 and 4 is given in Table-6B.

*Learners registering under Stream-2, Stream-3, Stream-4 and desire to take different subjects or additional subject
from parent boards, the learners will have to pay Rs. 600/- per subject in addition to Admission/Registration Fee, Exam.

Note : In addition to above Fee, Rs. 50/- (Rs. Fifty Only) will be added as cost of online application
form for all Streams (Stream 1, 2, 3 and 4).
(c) How to Pay the Fee
Fees for On-line Admission : There will be three options for the payment of fees:

(A) The fee can be deposited On-line through Credit Card /Debit Card/Net Banking. Learners must
choose their Study
(B) Through Bank Draft of any nationalised bank only in favour of Secretary, NIOS
Centre very care-
payable at respective Regional Centre of NIOS as per Appendix-B in case of fully.
Streams-1 & 2 and payable at NOIDA only in case of Streams-3 and 4 received
within a week of Online registration.
(C) If admission is done through Common Services Centres, fee could be paid via Electronic Wallet of
CSCs.
NIOS will not be responsible if the request for admission is not considered on account of short
payment deposited with the AI or if no seat is available with the AI.
