City Veterinary Services Department

AVAILING OF VETERINARY SERVICES

The City Veterinary Services Department provides veterinary services daily from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.,
adhering to the NO NOON BREAK policy of all government offices. It serves the 62 barangays of the
City Vet

city and due to limited veterinary services provider, even entertains clients from neighboring
municipalities.

Services offered:

(1) Vaccination in dogs and cats ( walk-in & mass vaccination )


(2) Vaccination in hogs & poultry
(3) Deworming in dogs and cats
(4) Deworming in livestock and poultry
(5) Treatment of common animal diseases
(6) Consultation and check- up of animals

AVAILING OF TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE FOR BACKYARD LIVESTOCK RAISERS

Aside from disease control and prevention, the department also provides technical assistance to the
city’s backyard livestock raisers. It ensures that Calapeños are afforded with competent, efficient
and sustainable animal health care and production services.

Services offered:

(1) Castration in piglets, small and large ruminants


(2) Iron injection
(3) Vitamin injection
(4) Parturition assistance
(5) Lectures on basic livestock & poultry production

SECURING A VETERINARY HEALTH CERTIFICATE

New Government Center, Guinobatan, Calapan


(Companion Animals, Livestock & Poultry)

All companion animal owners and livestock & poultry raisers are required to secure a Veterinary
Health Certificate to be presented to the Animal Quarantine Services at the Port of Calapan before
they can secure a Shipping Permit as a requirement for animal transport.
