Methodology for FDAS System Interfacing

A. Pre-Testing Procedures
1. Secure approval of required materials & shop drawing, and testing forms & permits.
2. Verify if all system termination and wirings are complete.
3. Notify all building officials and occupants that FDAS testing will be conducted.
4. Coordinate with the concern parties prior to the activity so that proper work standards are to
be implemented.
5. Prepare tools and equipment to be used for testing. Ensure that measuring equipment are
calibrated.
a. Test gas for smoke detector
b. Heat blower for heat detector

B. Testing Procedures
1. Upon activation of the smoke/heat detector on floor-on-fire, all magnetic door lock should
automatically deactivate.
2. Upon activation of Manual Pull Station on their floor, all magnetic door lock should
automatically deactivate.
3. Once General Alarm button is activated at the control panel, magnetic door lock should
automatically deactivate.
