Thank you for your interest in joining the 17th Newborn Screening Convention on October 1-2, 2019 at the Reception Hall of the Philippine International Convention
Center (PICC), Pasay City, Manila. Kindly register online to be included in the list of participants.

deposit slip) at newbornscreeningconvention@gmail.com for issuance of Official Receipt. A confirmation email will be sent to your registered email. Print and bring this
during the convention.

Registration shall only be considered CONFIRMED UPON RECEIPT OF PROOF OF PAYMENT of the Registration Fee. Online registration shall automatically close at
5:00pm on August 31, 2019.

Participants who will register on-site will be accommodated (but NOT guaranteed) on a first-come, first-served basis on October 1. NO walk-in registration will be
entertained on the second day, October 2, 2019.

Registration fee per participant is inclusive of admission to convention hall and exhibit areas, certificate of attendance, meals for both days (October 1 – PM Snack;

Cancellation requests must be done in writing signed by the registered participant and sent by fax at (02)2476008 or email newbornscreeningconvention@gmail.com on or

When and where will the 17th Newborn Screening Convention be held?

The 17th NBS Convention will be held on October 1-2 at the Reception Hall, Philippine International Convention Center (PICC), Pasay City.

Day 1: October 1, 2019 (1-5pm)*

Day 2: October 2, 2019 (8am-5pm)

*Any changes will be emailed to the registered participants

When is the registration period?

Early Bird Registration is only until August 31, 2019 (NO EXTENSION)

Registration opens on October 1 at 8am however doors to the convention venue will only open at 11am.

To avail of the reduced fees for MD trainees, kindly submit a letter from your department chair certifying that you are currently undergoing training (residency or fellowship).

Please bring your Identification card from the institution indicating your current position.

NO walk-in registration will be entertained on the second day of the convention, October 2.
What is included in my convention registration fee?

Your convention registration fee includes admission to the convention hall and exhibit area, certificate of attendance, meals for both days (October 1: PM Snacks; October 2:

AM/PM Snacks, Lunch), and convention bag/token*.Hotel accommodation is NOT included.

Where will I claim the official receipt?

Claim Official Receipt at the Secretariat Desk during the Convention. Kindly bring the printed deposit /transaction slip as proof of payment along with a Valid ID.

Do I earn professional credits for attending the convention?

Continuing professional development (CPD) units have been requested for the convention participants from the professional societies (for PPS, PAFP) and from PRC (for

Midwives, Nurses, Medical Technologists, Nutritionist-Dietitians, and Chemists). As per PRC, participants can check the PRC's website for updates on number of units

approved for the convention

Where can I find exhibitor and sponsorship information?

You can reach more than 2000 health practitioners by exhibiting at the 17th Newborn Screening Convention. The exhibit dates are October 1 to 2, 2019. Send in your intent to

How do I cancel my convention registration?

Cancellation requests must be done in writing signed by the registered participant and sent by fax at (02)2476008 or email newbornscreeningconvention@gmail.com.

Requests received at least two (2) weeks before the event is eligible for a refund of 75% of registration fee net of processing fee. While those received less than two (2) weeks

until first day of the event (October 1) is eligible for a refund of only 50% of registration fee net of processing fee. Requests received on the second day of event (October 2)

onwards, will no longer be refunded.

Once your assessment has been conducted, the AIMS National Office administrators will prepare your assessment letter. Once this has been prepared it will be sent to you via express post (if you are in Australia) or

Our delivery policy / timeframe for completion of your assessment is generally between 6 – 8 weeks but please be aware it can take up to 10 weeks in some cases. We do not offer a priority or express service but we
ys endeavour to complete your application as quickly as possible.

Certification of Supporting Documentation


Overview
Detailed below is the AIMS requirements for ALL applications for assessments of professional skills & qualifications.
It is advised that you read the below information carefully as all incorrectly certified documentation, which is submitted with your application, will NOT be processed.
Correctly certified supporting documentation
An originally certified copy is a photocopy that has been stamped and signed by a suitable certifying officer (as stated below) who verifies that they have sighted the original
document and that the photocopy that they are certifying is a true copy of that original.
Each photocopied page of all documentation must be certified on the face and must show clearly the words "certified true copy of the original", the signature of the
certifying officer and the name and address or provider/registration number of the certifying officer. It must be possible from the details provided for AIMS to verify the
certifications by contacting the certifying officer if necessary.
Please ensure you submit ''original certified copies" of your documents.
Who does AIMS accept to certify my documents?

Documents certified in Australia must be certified by either a Justice of the Peace or a Notary Public.
Documents certified in a country other than Australia must be certified by a Notary Public or an official of an Australian Embassy or Consulate.
Please note that AIMS WILL NOT accept any other form of certification. If incorrectly certified documents are provided with your application it WILL NOT be processed and your
fee will NOT BE refunded.

Phlebotomist / Pathology Collector


The Australian Institute of Medical Scientists (AIMS) has been specified by the Minister for Home Affairs in accordance with the Migration Regulations 1994 as the assessing
authority for the occupations of Medical Laboratory Scientist ANZSCO 234611, Medical Laboratory Technician ANZSCO 311213 and Pathology Collector ANZSCO 311216.
If you wish to apply to migrate to Australia as a Medical Laboratory Scientist, Medical Laboratory Technician or Pathology Collector/Phlebotomist under the General Skilled Migration
visa categories, you will need to have your skills assessed by AIMS. AIMS will assess your skills as "suitable" or "not suitable" for your nominated occupation against the requirements
it has established.
