Wheelset Installation
Gluing and mounting tubular tires requires skill and experience. It is highly recommended to have the tires mounted by a trained professional. Improperly mounted tires can separate from the wheel while
riding causing serious injury to the rider and damage to the wheels and bicycle. If you are not confident you possess the skills necessary to mount your tires, take the wheels and tires to a qualified bicycle mechanic.

1. Ensure tire is correct type (tubular or clincher) for wheel model. Install tire on rim as instructed by tire manufacturer.
2. Lightly grease the Freehub Body ③. Install the cassette. Wheels equipped with a Shimano Freehub Body are compatible with Shimano 11 sped cassettes. To work with Shimano or Sram 9 spd, and 10 spd cassettes, install
the 9s / 10s conversion ring ④ onto the Freehub Body ③.
3. Wheels equipped with the Campagnolo Freehub Body ③ are compatible with C9, C10 and C11 cassettes.
4. Install the Front ① and Rear Wheel ② into the drop-outs of the fork and frame. Insert the QR ⑤ from the left side; tighten the QR bolt to a 20 kgf.cm / 2 Nm / 18 in.lbs. The lever end of the QR may require substantial
effort to close. If it closes with only moderate hand pressure, the QR must be tightened. If you are unsure how to correctly use the QR skewer, consult an experienced mechanic to help determine proper adjustment before
riding the bicycle. Note: The QR lever should point upward in order to avoid hitting it on passing objects while riding. Regularly check the QR adjustment. The QR must be periodically lubricated at the pivot points.
5. Adjust brakes according to brake manufacturer’s instructions, and ensure the brake pads are correctly aligned with the brake track. Always check brake performance and adjustment before each ride. For
carbon fiber Vision wheels, only use approved carbon-specific brake pads such as the brake pads supplied with your wheels, and ensure the brake pads do not make contact with the rim outside the brake track. Do not use
carbon-specific pads with non-carbon rims. The Vision carbon rim brake surface has a special brake track layer to resist brake heat and abrasion. Replace the rim if this layer has been worn off. Use of incorrect brake pads
can cause damage to the carbon braking surface and rim. Note: The use of any non-approved brake pads will void the warranty.
6. Do not use disc-brake wheels with rim brakes under any circumstances.

Maintenance: Periodically inspect the wheels for damage. Use a spoke tension measuring device to check spoke tension during routine maintenance. Refer to the specification in the above chart. Maximum spoke tension
must not exceed specification. Using tension above max specification will void warranty. If tension above maximum is necessary to true the wheel, the rim may be damaged and should be replaced. Do not
remove rim decals. Decal removal can compromise rim clear coat. Rim failures can cause serious accidents.

PRA Bearing Adjust (if equipped)

1. Unscrew the PRA adjust collar set screw ⑦ in the PRA adjustment collar ⑥ using a 2.5mm Allen Key.
2. Tighten the PRA adjustment collar ⑥ by-hand until it stops, then loosen slightly, but no more than 1/8th turn.
3. Screw in PRA adjust collar set screw ⑦ to 20 kgf.cm / 2 Nm / 18 in.lbs with Allen Key.
4. Install the wheel in the bike and ensure that there is no lateral (side-to-side) movement and that the wheel rotates freely.
5. If lateral play is present, do not remove wheel from frame. Loosen the PRA adjust collar set screw ⑦ with a 2.5mm Allen Key and re-adjust the PRA adjustment collar ⑥ clockwise until lateral play is eliminated and wheel
rotates freely. Re-tighten the PRA adjust collar set screw ⑦ to 20 kgf.cm / 2 Nm / 18 in.lbs.
6. Remove the wheel from the frame and check that the axle rotation is smooth. If it is rough, it means the PRA adjustment collar ⑥ has been over tightened. To fix, repeat steps 1 to 5 and re-check.
