We Filipinos, use various languages but still achieve unity through Filipino, our national

language. Likewise, English shares the same intent, to unify the world. There are lots of
languages used around the world but English still stays on top of them as the universal

language. This can be observed in different transactions and events in every country. And
this situation opened up numerous opportunities for Filipino workers abroad because we

are recognized as one of the countries that are fluent in English language. This language
brings additional pride to us as we embrace it as our second language. Without it, how

are we going to achieve world unity?


