Activity Card
I think it’s best if you know what an idiom is. It can refer to one thing but can
mean another thing.
Idiomatic Expressions comes in different levels:
colors, shapes, qualities and etc.

Are you familiar with the different colors?

Can you name few?

What do you mean

when you see RED? What about GREEN?

NOW, try to read the passage..

“COLORS”
We use the name of colors in many common expressions
and emotions. A person sees red when he loses his temper, or
green with envy at someone’s luck. He feels blue because
someone has called him yellow. But once in a blue moon
everything goes all right and he has a red-letter day.
We take these colors for granted, for we cannot prove
that they exist. In fact, we know that dogs and many other
animals, such as bees, see colors we do not see. All we know is
that our eyes see color when light strikes them.
